Affiliate disclosure
Some links in our roundups are affiliate links: if you buy through them we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. It never changes which tools we recommend or where they rank — we only list tools we would genuinely tell a friend to use.
How we make money
taskautomato is free to read. We keep it that way with two revenue sources: affiliate commissions and display advertising.
- Affiliate links. When a guide links to a tool, that link is sometimes an affiliate link. If you click it and later buy a paid plan, we may receive a commission from the vendor. It never costs you anything extra, and the price you pay is the same as it would be otherwise.
- Display advertising. Some pages carry ads served by third-party networks. These are clearly ads and are kept away from the substance of our recommendations.
Our promise
Money changes nothing about what we recommend. Concretely:
- We only recommend tools we would genuinely tell a friend to use.
- We rank tools by who they're best for — not by commission rate. Free and cheaper tools regularly outrank pricier ones.
- A tool with no affiliate program can still top a roundup, and often does.
- We verify pricing at the source and stamp the date we checked it.
You can read the full method on our editorial standards page. Questions about a specific recommendation? Ask us — we'll tell you straight.
